An homage and send-up to the Upper East Side lady & the gayz that inhabit her. An interpretatión of the real life of Timon of Athens, casting a middle-aged diva as hostess of Park Avenue’s biggest flop parade. A mixed-media drag+dance spectacular that opens the purse of the self-destructive Diva and the society built to devour her.

Press for I AM MY OWN MILF

Let me be blunt: you will exit the theater asking yourself: "What the fuck did I just watch??" But then??... you will explode into laughter, alongside all the other queer folks who just experienced this magical evening with you. [...]

What stands out is not just the fabulously hilarious lip syncs, calling back to pop stars and celebrities of our youth being performed extemporaneously by Matthew Antoci - it's actually the genre of theater, and the characterization of Timon. Calling back to the Theatre of the Ridiculous, Matthew constructs the usually tragic figure of Timon as a... Through the opulence, the glitz, and the glamour, the show's message about chosen family and choosing your own joy strikes through. [...] Run, jump, and sprint to see this boots the house down spectacle that can only be described by other audiences as: "they served c*nt, and then died. Slay." - Dylan, Theatr

I AM MY OWN MILF is a delicious hot mess. But all of that is intentional. [...] The rapping and flamboyance of Antoci's wordplay was a spectacle to behold. The whole performance was beautiful and chaotically entrancing. Young-Howze Theatre Journal

Backed by a pair of talented multi-character playing interns named Happy and Ness (Lizz Mangan and Meaghan Robichaud), Antoci is in full diva mode in a production directed by Andrew Mullins that rapidly spins out pop culture references and lip-synced celebrity sound bites. This theatre-centric bubble-inhabitant appreciated the gags involving Into The Woods and Roundabout Theatre Company’s Board of Directors, and even though I didn’t understand at least half of the show, the bulk of the audience was laughing riotously. - Michael Dale, Onstage Blog
